The System’s three hospital campuses (Garnet Health Medical Center - Catskills (Harris and Callicoon, NY) and Garnet Health Medical Center (Middletown, NY) plus several outpatient facilities, offer a broad spectrum of care including:


Operates various CT / computer equipment and produces radiographic images of designated areas of human anatomy on patients of all ages. Accepts assignments to various locations within the ORMC system to include all off-site facilities.


Minimum Education: Graduate of an ARRT approved Accredited Radiology Program.


Minimum Experience: Six months CT experience preferred or completion of CT training program inclusive of didactic and clinical rotation.


Required Certification/Registration: New York State Radiologic Technologist License, ARRT (R) required. ARRT (CT) Certification required within 12 months of hire. CT Certification preferred. BLS required.
NYS DOH Injection license preferred, required within 30 days from date of hire.


Physical Requirements: Stands and walks most of the day. Positions, lifts, or assists in lifting patients on and off CT table. Pushes equipment weighing in excess of 100 pounds less than 50% of time. Requires visual effort and reaching to adjust controls and evaluates images most of the day.

Working Conditions: Works inside, controlled exposure to elements of radiation, disagreeable odors, and infection. Wears protective clothing and film badge to detect and monitor exposure to radiation. Contact with patients, physicians, department employees, students and hospital departments, such as nursing.
