POSITION SUMMARY:
The Garnet Health Administrator of Supply Chain provides overall strategic and operational direction for purchasing, including strategic sourcing, value analysis, operational logistics and the effective use of supply chain innovation and technology for the System. The position reports directly to Garnet Health Chief Financial Officer. The position is responsible for developing and implementing a system wide strategy and the future direction of the supply chain functions for the System. The Administrator of Supply Chain creates and fosters effective strategic relationships with the Health System’s Executive Team and key leaders to maximize opportunities for driving cost reduction, maximizing the use of innovation and technology within the supply chain, improving facility operations/logistics and positively impacting the patient experience. The Administrator of Supply Chain provides the leadership and direction to develop, recommend and implement best in class programs, policies and procedures and standards. The position is accountable for driving preeminence throughout the assigned areas. Preeminence is being acknowledged as a leader in operations, cost control, patient experience, innovation and use of technology as well as DNV accreditation with respect to these areas and high quality as established by PiPEx Baldrige award standards. Acts as a collaborative partner with the Executive Team and participates in strategic planning and attainment of supply chain goals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) required, Master’s degree/MBA/Health Administration preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 15 years of health care and related experience, including demonstrated team building and leadership, exceptional verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills. The position requires a solid background in management with a large and or integrated health system. Also required are interpersonal negotiation skills, problem solving and analytical skills, presentation skills and the ability to motivate and lead groups and programs. The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects and initiatives, some which may reflect on the System’s strategic goals.
