Responsibilities

 

This position manages the Value Analysis program for Garnet Health  by working with Clinical Administrators, Medical Staff, Nursing Staff and Vendors this position will achieve Supply Chain Management goals related to non-labor cost containment, product standardization, and group purchasing contract compliance.  This position will promote and utilize value analysis in the decision making process for the selection and sourcing of supplies and suppliers.  This position will chair the Value Analysis committees at both Hospitals of  the Garnet Health.  Position will require travel between Garnet Health Orange County campus and  and Catskill Medical Center Campus

 

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Education:                                       

Bachelor’s degree required  in Nursing , or other health related field.

 

Minimum Experience:                                     

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare, clinical setting required; Operating Room experience a plus.

Purchasing and supply chain experience preferred as this would be beneficial

Demonstrated experience required in product analysis, performing cost comparison, and communication with nurses, physicians, clinicians, and vendors.

Prior experience required with project management and coordination.

Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects in a timely manner and support multiple projects concurrently..

Expereince reflects analytical skills; ability to create objective criteria for evaluating products and services; ability to create reports, communication skills; ability to lead a group to meet objectives.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office word and excel is required.

 

Required Certification/Registration:

  • Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift 10 lbs.

Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary
