The Greater Hudson Valley Health System (now known as Garnet Health) is a New York State, not-for-profit corporation headquartered in Middletown, New York, approximately 60 miles north of New York City. Under direction and supervision of the Food Service Supervisor; is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to keep the kitchen and or front of the house in a clean and sanitary condition. May delivers food to specific areas, assist with stocking or assist with catering set ups.
Minimum Education: Grammar school level education preferred with ability to do simple math, speak English and follow oral and written instructions.
Minimum Experience: On the job training provided.
Required Certification/Registration: Serv Safe preferred but not required
Physical Requirements: Extensive walking and standing. Other physical movements required and the ability to kneel, bend, crouch, twist, balance and reaching above, out and below. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and push over 75 pounds
Working Conditions: Works inside and occasionally outside. Exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.
